Linda Pilkington is founder and creator of London perfumery Ormonde Jayne. The name is formed of her middle name (Jayne) and the place she used to live – Ormonde Terrace. A chance meeting with an old friend when she was living in South Africa began the whole process. He worked for Chanel, and knew that Linda made candles as a hobby & also loved fragrance and aksed her to create candles for his Chanel store. They ordered 50, and then kept re-ordering! She had to register a company so that she could raise an invoice and that was when Ormonde Jayne was born. Her first invoice was Chanel Fine Jewellery Number 001.

Now, she has 280 points of sale, 52 members of staff, and celebrates 22 years of British perfume making in November 2022! Still privately owned by Linda, the flagship boutique in Old Bond Street will celebrate 21 years since it opened and, to look forward to later this year, a brand new (enormous) studio in Kent.
