Interview with Designer, Artist and Business Woman Sarah Jessica Parker 12th September -Date Posted: 14th September 2016
On Tuesday 12th September we had the pleasure of meeting Sarah Jessica Parker, who was in London celebrating the launch of her latest fragrance Stash. Our meeting with Sarah Jessica began when she surprised 320 Debenhams Consultants at their annual Fragrance Conference at the Millennium Gloucester Hotel.
Sarah Jessica took questions from the room about the inspiration behind the fragrance, the bottle and also “Who the fragrance is for? … to which she replied “It’s genderless… a fragrance for humans.” She was also asked whether ‘Big’ would have liked the fragrance” and she answered “What do you think?!”.
Linda & Rachel went on to interview her and ask about her favourite #Scentmemories…
What are your #Scentmemories?
I was living and working with an actress called Mary Mcdonnell, we were doing a play in Maine together. She wore Aliage by Estee Lauder, I was mad for Aliage. It was the first grown up fragrance I bought.
We then went on to ask her The Fragrance Foundation Five…
The smell of a new born child, it’s hypnotic.
Aliage by Estee Lauder.
Gardenias, they have depth and are very heady. This is the only time I use this work but they’re ‘fat’, like a piece of butter or a steak.
A very specific green salad- hearty, big, fresh romaine lettuce leaves from the garden, cold and crisp. I also love a pork chop.
Most vivid olfactory memory?
When my husband and I were courting, his shirts smelt so good mixed with his natural essence.
Stash opens with an intriguing fusion of grapefruit zest, black pepper and aromatic sage into hypnotic notes of cedarwood atlas and enticing patchouli blend with ginger lily and pistachio. We think its divine. It is available at Superdrug, Boots and Debenhams from September 14th.
