Managing Director Puig
How did you get in to the Fragrance Industry?
As a French graduate, I joined the Beauty world through a first internship at L’Oreal in France, producing spreadsheets and analysis…So not the most direct contact with the glamourous products at the time!
But the category was attractive, the fact that you talked to customers through emotions and senses with beautiful juices and bottles, aspirational TV commercials felt like an interesting challenge, so I stayed in this industry.
And joined a company in London called “Creative Fragrances”, responsible for marketing Paco Rabanne aftershaves to the British consumer…
Top tips for entering the industry at any level
Being curious and savvy to understand markets dynamics and consumers new ways of approaching products.
Being humble to accept learning from others on a category that has its specificities
Being self-confident that young profiles have a big part to play as the consumption/shopping model is changing !
